A is for Apple
Today I’m happy to be doing the Letter A for the 31 Days of ABCs. Last year I did the letter P. We had so much fun. I thought I would share a few of the ways we did our letter A activities.
There are so many different activities that you can do for the letter A. I thought I would highlight a few A activities that we have done. lot of the activities we use come from the Romping & Roaring A Pack.
Playdough Mats
Play dough mats are always fun to use. There is one in the Romping & Roaring A Pack and also the Play Dough Mat Lowercase Tracing Page and Uppercase Tracing Page
Dot Marker and Letter Mazes
We use the pages from the Romping & Roaring A Pack to review out letters with the dot marker and the letter maze. We used apples to make our way through the letter maze. We used dot marker for the A dot marker page. We have used other things with them as well. Try to make something hands on and not just a worksheet when you can.
Apple Sensory Bin
I love having a themed sensory bin to go with our letter. This is a great way to introduce the letter through a hands on experience. You can check out all we did with our apple sensory bin. It is a great way to have a hands on learning.
Measuring with Apples
We often take the item we are learning about like Apples and use them for measuring. We made different playdough lines and measured them by the apples.
Gross Motor Ideas
Here are some fun ideas for gross motor that you can do with the letter A.
- Ant: marching in place

What wonderful apple activities! They look like so much fun!
I like your ideas you’ve presented here. The one that I know my son would like is “follow the a path” because he likes patterns and mazes. He’s got a great eye for finding hidden things. Pinned and shared! =)
