These are great ideas! Now I just have to get some buttons for my kiddos. Any suggestions on where to get some?
Michael’s, AC Moore, Walmart are a few places.
Thanks a lot for including us, twice! Great round up 🙂
Oops, missed our turtle! So 3 times it is, wow, thank very much!
Not a problem at all! I’m glad you like it!
I love buttons, but they’re so expensive. There is no way our preschool classes (3 classes with a total of 54 kiddos) could do the cute heart and turtle art you have pictured… and I would love to have enough buttons to scoop and pour in our sensory table, but my goodness… that would cost a fortune! Any advice on finding the magical place to purchase low-cost buttons? (I do go to Thrift Shops to find supplies but have never found that many buttons.)
I always purchase my buttons with coupons. I wait until I have a 50% off and buy the bulk random sets. I’ll add button sets to my cart on amazon and when they drop in price buy them then. AC Moore and Michael’s always have bulk sets where you get a ton of buttons that are 9.99, but with a coupon they become 4.50. I am always looking for deals online places. You can search online for places that sell in bulk as well to get deals.
There is a wonderful children’s book “Dewey Bob” by Judy Schachner and Dewey collects buttons among other things. I’m going to read this book and do button activities with kids for our library summer reading program this year.
I just thought I’d share this wonderfully sweet gem of a book.
